Little girl

Hallie just had her 18 month pictures taken and she did.. ok.. but thankfully we still got some great pictures. She is growing up so fast and everyday she seems more like a little girl and less like a baby. I miss her rolls, but love watching her grow up. She is too cute for words and I am so lucky I get to spend everyday with her. ( even the hard days)

Do The Mash Potato

Hallie loves mashed potatoes just as much as I do. (I really really love potatoes..they have been my favorite food my entire life) She will eat tons of them. Usually I give the spoon and mixer to Steve, but he wasn't home so Hallie got them all to herself.( Steve usually shares with Hallie.. don't worry) As I was peeling the potatoes she kept asking for one to hold and so I gave her one and then she wanted the peeler, so I found a random dull kitchen utensil and gave it to her and she " peeled" her potato while I finished the rest.

Flour Angels

If you are wondering.. Yes I put flour on a cookie sheet and let Hallie go to town. It was meant to be a sensory experience and BOY was it. At first she just touched it with her pointer fingers and looked at the flour on her hand. It quickly escalated into full on rolling through the flour. Messy, but I was planning on washing the floor today anyway!

Wet and Wild

Hallie went to her first splash pad today and loved it! Jamie came with us and was amazing. She even got wet for Hallie's entertainment. At first, Hallie would run around and try to avoid all the water spurts. She wasn't sure about the whole thing. I knew after a few minutes she would be having a blast and she did. I love that there is a free slash pad just down the way from our apartment at the Riverwoods Mall. I am betting it will become a regular activity for us. I can't wait until the pool opens. At least for now there are splash pads.

Messy Senorita

Hallie loves anything SPICY!.. She will eat jalapenos like they are candy. If the food is spicy, Hallie is sure to love it. We had some yummy Cafe Rio last night and Hallie as usually was eating all she could. Its shocking to most that Hallie LOVES all things spicy.. She would, if we let her, suck on hot sauce packets all the time. I think she likes it HOT because I ate so much salsa and hot sauce while I was pregnant.
